DANCE WORLD CUP 2023
In June 2023, our fabulous Dance World Cup Team; Annabel, Alice, Alexa, Kessia, Ruby, Miss Sylvia, Lola and Katie, travelled to Portugal to compete in Ballet, Lyrical, Acro, Showdance, Commercial and Song and Dance sections with dancers from all over the globe. And WOW!!! What a fantastic time they had!

Panto Super Stars!
Ilkley Upstagers Panto - January 2023
Congratulations to our super panto performers who have recently finished their run of Upstagers Panto classic - "Cinderella" at the Kings Hall in Ilkley.
Olivia as Dandini, Kessia as a senior dancer, Lola and Izzy as Senior chorus, Alice in Junior chorus, Connie, Willow, Jess and Ruban as Inters, and Bobbie, Abi, Aoife, Hollie and Lucy as Tinies!
It was a fabulous funny show for all the family, with Starlighters shining! Congratulations to all involved.
TDCI Champ of Champs 2022 Grand Final -
January 2023
Throughout 2022 our comp team have been competing at TDCI Championships (see all results on our TDCI Champs page )
On Sunday 22nd January 2023 Kessia and Alexa danced at the prestigious Champ of Champs event in Fleetwood. Kessia from qualifying in Senior Modern and Senior Ballet, and Alexa in Junior Ballet. We had a fantastic day, and we are thrilled that Kessia was chosen by the adjudicator to be the recipient of the Senior Classical Future Star!
Congratulations to all the champions who performed, the winners and dance schools involved. TDCI is a great community where young dancers from around the UK are able to come together, perform and create great friendships with dancers from other dance schools.

Yeadon Panto - Beauty and the Beast - January 2023
Congratulations to our students who are just finishing their run in Yeadon Panto - Beauty and the Beast at Yeadon Town Hall. A fantastic production seeing Lydia playing the title role Beauty as Belle, Thomas as Pierre, Eve, Ellie, Francesca and Isabella as Dancers, and Elsie, Cara and Maggie as Sunbeams. Well done all, we are so proud of you. A super production, fun filled traditional Pantomime for all the family!
December 2022, Christmas Spectacular performances
Congratulations to Starlighters Lydia and Thomas who are performing in Yorkshires Christmas Spectacular this week at Yeadon Town Hall with Futurist Theatre Productions. A super Christmassy feel good show for all the family, showcasing their triple threat abilities with beautiful dancing, singing and acting, and the show includes a visit from Santa himself!

WORLD PERFORMER GRAND FINAL
November 2022
Three of our lovely Starlighters, Kessia, Alice and Ruby qualified for the TDCI World Performer Grand Final by winning heats held from November 2021 to June 2022.
The Grand final was held at the Winter Gardens and Opera House in November 2022 with 89 of the most talented performers from all around the UK, and saw our 3 gorgeous dancers perform beautifully.
Kessia was selected to re-dance in the top 10, and was then awarded 3rd place! A fantastic achievement!
We are so proud of all three of our finalists performing with professionalism, with beautiful technique shining through. Well done girls! And thank you to the team of supporters who came along to watch in Blackpool.

October 2022 OLIVER! performance
A huge BREAK A LEG to our super Starlighters Aoife, Charlotte, Dougie, Lola, Ruban and Willow who will be appearing in Guiseley Theatrical Productions performance of Oliver! this week at Guiseley Theatre.

ABD Scholarship weekend
In July 2022, we held a Ballet Exam day with the associated Board of Dance, on receiving our fantastic exam results, we also received a whopping 11 nominations for the ABD scholarship day, with students given the chance to take a class in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Acro, competing with dancers from ABD schools across the UK and Europe to be chosen to perform their solo in the final.
The champion from this final is then invited to represent ABD at the TDCI scholarship final held in Blackpool in August 2023 along with champions from other dance team boards.
This weekend, Alice, Annabel, Kessia and Ruby danced magnificently, showing their strong technique, responsiveness, beautiful dance quality, humility and a heartwarming team spirit. We are so proud of them all. AND we have a FOUR TIMES CHAMPION going on to represent the ABD in Blackpool!

ABD AWARD WINNERS!
In September 2022, Miss Mel and Miss Christine were delighted and honoured to have been awarded the Associated Board of Dance Teachers Shield for Technical Grades!
At the Dinner Dance, Kessia, Evie, Alice, Ruby, Olivia and Claire were also awarded their scrolls officially making them ABD student members and able to assist qualified ABD teachers in lessons, as well as Miss Christine receiving her scroll for passing her Musical Theatre Associate Teaching exam with ABD.
Kessia was also asked to perform her Ballet and Modern solos as part of the cabaret after winning the TDCI British Champs over summer. We had a fabulous weekend, many thanks to the ABD!
